Poellinger Inc. was
established as a plastering company in 1957 by John A. Poellinger and with
diversification into a number of other fields has grown into a large,
specialty, subcontracting firm. In 1966, the company incorporated in the
state of Wisconsin.
Poellinger Inc. is a union trade contractor and is
currently signatory with the Local #497 of the Operative Plasterers' and
Cement Masons International, Local #140 of the Laborer's International
Union of North America, Local #1143 of the United Brotherhood of
Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local #1 of the International Union of
Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers, Local #47 of the United Brotherhood
of Carpenters and Joiners of America and Local #259 of the International
Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades.
The company has a reputation for
combining old world techniques, such as plastering, with today's
technological advances, such as exterior insulation finish systems.
Poellinger Inc. provides the industry with lath, plaster, stucco, EIFS,
light steel framing, drywall, fireproofing, sprayed acoustic systems,
ceramic tile, quarry tile, and marble.
Poellinger Inc. is a supplier of specialty products to the
construction industry. We offer wholesale and retail sales of partition
systems and construction materials, hollow metal doors and frames, access
panels, carpet and tile.
In 1986, Mike Poellinger, son of
John, joined the firm as a project manager and became very actively
involved in the direction of the company. In 1989, Mike was named General
Manager. When John A. Poellinger announced his retirement in 1996, Mike
Poellinger was named President of the company. In 1999, Mike
purchased Poellinger Inc. and he is currently the owner and president of
the company.
Poellinger Inc. is committed to the
construction industry and the community. We meet the needs of architects,
general contractors, builders and owners by providing a variety of
specialized services and high quality products, while maintaining an
active role in the community. Poellinger Inc. is active with the Greater
La Crosse Chamber of Commerce, the La Crosse Area Builders Association, La
Crosse Area Development Corporation, Mainstreet Inc., Rotary Clubs, and a
number of non-profit organizations.
